The
STATCARE service area, for our helicopters, includes Southern Indiana,
Northern Tennessee, and the Western, Central and Southeast sections of
Kentucky.
Our airplanes can travel throughout North America. Seventy percent of the North American population is within a 90 minute flight of our base of operations. STATCARE has transported patients to or from: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Canada. During the year 2006 we transported 2587 patients over 131,399 loaded miles. STATCARE is based in Louisville, Kentucky, America's 17th largest city with over 700,000 residents. Our licensed area covers 10,180,301 individuals spread out over 75,595 square miles. Our primary helicopter coverage area includes 12 Indiana counties and 38 Kentucky counties with a population of 2,104,564 over 17,787 square miles. STATCARE's primary helicopter coverage area protects almost 1 percent of the entire U.S. population (although we are licensed to cover almost 4 percent of the entire U.S. population). |
