Service Area 

 

Trauma patients are transported to the closest appropriate facility.

  • Adult trauma patients are normally transported to the University of Louisville Hospital or Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which are both Level I Trauma Centers. For the Southern Indiana counties STATCARE can transport trauma patients to Indianapolis if it is closer.
  • Pediatric trauma and critically ill patients are transported to Kosair Childrens Hospital.
  • When appropriate we will fly to a closer Level III Trauma Center.
